Cowboy Coffee has been part of Jackson's coffee scene since 1989, roasting in-house under the tagline "A taste of the West," with the site framing it plainly: winters here are long, so the coffee has to be strong enough to keep you in the saddle all day. What started as a single roaster has grown into a small local chain — locations at Town Square, a drive-thru, Teton Village, and a newer outpost in Big Sky, Montana — all pulling from the same bean lineup, which includes the Original Cowboy Blend, an Organic Teton Blend, Cactus Cowboy, and Rustler's Blend, sold as whole bean, Turkish grind, or in pour-over packets. The Town Square shop at 125 N. Cache Street is the flagship, open daily from 6am to 6pm, and it's built breakfast into the routine for a lot of Jackson locals: reviewers and the shop's own reputation point to a Cowboy Burrito loaded with chorizo and crispy hash browns and served with Cholula, plus a veggie version, alongside breakfast sandwiches, fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, croissants, paninis, and a signature Buffalo Chili. On the drink side there's the full range of espresso and drip coffee plus flavored specialties — a Mexican Mocha and a drink called the Honey Badger show up repeatedly in customer reviews, alongside lattes finished with huckleberry syrup, a house energy drink, and smoothies. Cowboy Coffee has been voted Best Coffee Shop in Jackson Hole for ten years running by local readers' polls. Beyond the cafe, the company ships its roasted beans nationally, with online ordering available for pickup at any of its four locations. It's a grab-and-go operation more than a sit-down cafe — geared toward skiers, hikers, and commuters who need caffeine before the day starts, not a long linger over a menu.
