Teton Thai has been a family-run operation in Teton Village for over a decade, according to its own site, and it's been voted the best Thai restaurant in Jackson Hole consistently enough that the restaurant leads with the claim. Location matters here: it sits at 7342 Granite Loop Road, right at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and near the south entrance to Grand Teton National Park, close enough to the Aerial Tram that the restaurant directs skiers to a lit pathway connecting the two.

The room is small and intimate — a small bar and an indoor dining area — with outdoor patio seating that gets enclosed and heated for winter, so the same tables serve as a summer patio and a snow-season porch. There are no reservations; it's walk-in only, which given the location suggests a restaurant built to catch a steady flow of skiers and hikers rather than pre-planned dinners.

Hours are Monday through Saturday, noon to 9:00 p.m., with the restaurant closed on Sundays. One detail worth knowing before the bill arrives: Teton Thai adds a 20% service charge to all orders, both dine-in and takeout. The restaurant is explicit that this replaces rather than supplements a tip — "we do not expect you to tip above the service charge but it is greatly appreciated" — a different model than most restaurants in the valley use.
