Sidewinders American Grill sits at 945 West Broadway in Jackson, part of a small regional group that also runs locations in Wilson, Wyoming, and Bozeman, Montana. It's a no-reservations operation — seating is first come, first served — open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Two dishes carry the restaurant's reputation: the "S" Pretzel, a jumbo homemade soft pretzel, and a chicken pot pie made fresh daily, both of which were featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. A French onion soup — built from a trio of onions with gruyere, asiago, and swiss — also made the show. The fuller menu extends into salads, soups, sandwiches, specialty burgers, steak and rib entrees, pizza, pasta, a kids' menu, homemade desserts, and a cocktail and draft beer list.

The restaurant emphasizes locally sourced and homemade ingredients, and takeout orders placed through Toast come with a 5% packaging fee.
