Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has expanded its on-mountain dining beyond the typical cafeteria fare. While base lodges still serve the usual burgers and fries, several options now offer genuine culinary experiences with the added bonus of mountain access.
Piste Mountain Bistro sits at the top of the Bridger Gondola at 9,095 feet. This isn't typical ski lodge food—the menu features thoughtful dishes, good wine, and a terrace with views that stretch to the Wind River Range. It operates for lunch during ski season and is worth the gondola ride even if you're not skiing.
Corbet's Cabin at the summit of Rendezvous Mountain (10,450 feet) serves the famous 'Top of the World Waffles'—a Jackson tradition. It's more snack than meal, but the experience of eating waffles at the top of the mountain is uniquely Jackson Hole.
Trapper's at Solitude Station—the Sweetwater Gondola mid-station, opened for the 2024–25 winter season—adds upscale lunch options with a regional focus and spectacular views. It's a welcome addition for skiers wanting something beyond cafeteria food.
At the base, Tram Dock (opened December 2024) has reimagined the aerial tram base area with a renovated restaurant featuring vintage decor and a four-sided bar. The outdoor patio catches afternoon sun; it operates seasonally, roughly mid-May through early October, with happy hour from 3pm to close.
