Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole restaurants where a published source confirms dogs are welcome on the patio—not just places that happen to have outdoor seating.

6 restaurants in this guide

This list is shorter than most you'll find, and that's deliberate. Plenty of Jackson restaurants have patios, but a patio is not a dog policy—and showing up with a dog somewhere that doesn't take them is a bad end to an evening. Every place below has a published source behind it, either the restaurant's own site or local coverage.

The Bistro at The Cloudveil is the strongest case: the hotel maintains its own pet-friendly page spelling out that dogs are welcome. The Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board's guide to dogs in the valley names Dornans, Cafe Genevieve, Persephone Bakery, and Hatch Taqueria as spots where dogs are welcome on the deck or patio. Dishing on Jackson Hole reports the same for The Spur at Teton Village, where leashed dogs are welcome on the outdoor side.

A note on everywhere else: we checked roughly a dozen other patio restaurants and could not find a published policy either way. That doesn't mean they turn dogs away—many probably don't—it means we won't tell you they're fine when nobody has actually said so. Call ahead and you'll usually get a straight answer.

Season matters more here than the list does. Most of these patios are summer-only, and Jackson winters make outdoor dining with a dog impractical from roughly November through April. In those months, pet-friendly lodging with room service or a takeout order back to the room is the realistic plan.

Local Tips

  • Call ahead regardless—dog policies change with season, management, and health inspections.
  • Dogs are almost always restricted to the patio, not the dining room, unless they're service animals.
  • Summer patios are the norm; winter dog-friendly dining usually means takeout.
  • Bring water for your dog—dehydration comes on faster at 6,200 feet.
  • Keep dogs leashed and under the table. Jackson stays dog-friendly because owners are responsible.
