The Teton Range provides some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in North America, and several Jackson Hole restaurants have figured out how to put that view on the menu. These aren't just restaurants with windows—they're dining experiences where the landscape genuinely enhances the meal.
The Mural Room at Jackson Lake Lodge offers what might be the most famous restaurant view in the national park system. The 60-foot picture windows frame the Tetons so perfectly that first-time visitors often think they're looking at a mural (hence the name—though the actual murals by Carl Roters are worth seeing too). The food has improved significantly in recent years. Summer only.
Aurora at Snow King takes the view vertical—literally. At 7,808 feet, you ride a gondola to dinner and look down at the entire Jackson valley. On clear nights, the lights of town twinkle below while the Tetons glow in alpenglow. The food matches the setting, with Michelin-trained Chef Brandon Hicks running the kitchen.
Piste Mountain Bistro at the top of the Bridger Gondola serves surprisingly good food at 9,095 feet. It's primarily a lunch spot for skiers, but the terrace seating on a sunny day—with views stretching to the Wind River Range—is hard to beat.
In summer, Dornan's rooftop pizza deck in Moose offers a more casual alternative with Teton views that rival the fancy spots. Cold beer, decent pizza, mountain panorama—sometimes that's exactly what you want.
