Jackson Hole punches well above its weight in the craft beer department. Snake River Brewing has achieved national recognition, and the broader beer scene has grown to include multiple dedicated craft beer venues. For hop heads and lager lovers, the valley offers more options than you'd expect from a mountain town of 10,000 people.
Snake River Brewing is the anchorโa two-time Great American Beer Festival champion operating out of a massive brewpub a few blocks from the Town Square. The beer quality is legitimate (not just 'good for Wyoming'), and the food has always been better than standard brewpub fare. The Jackson Hole Pale Ale and Zonker Stout are classics; seasonal releases draw serious beer attention.
Roadhouse Pub & Eatery has built a craft beer-focused neighborhood bar with an excellent rotating tap list and solid pub food. Less institutional than Snake River Brewing, more of a locals' hangout with good pints and a relaxed vibe.
Melvin Dojo brings the Melvin Brewing ethos to downtown Jackson. The original Melvin in Alpine (down the road) made a name for hop-forward IPAs, and the Dojo outpost serves those alongside Asian-American bar food and live music on Wednesdays. It's become a hub for the local craft beer crowd.
Several other restaurants maintain good craft beer tap lists even if brewing isn't their primary identity. The Spur at Teton Village has a solid local tap selection. The Virginian Saloon stocks regional beers that skew toward the accessible end of craft.
