Teton Village sits at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, about 12 miles from downtown Jackson. For skiers and summer visitors staying on the mountain, this means you don't have to drive anywhere for decent foodโthough 'decent' ranges from quick counter service to Four Seasons fine dining.
The Village has transformed significantly in recent years. What used to be a handful of ski lodge cafeterias has become a legitimate dining destination. Hotel Terra houses Il Villaggio Osteria, which serves surprisingly authentic Italian in a ski resort setting. The Spur at Teton Mountain Lodge has evolved into one of the better gastropubs in the valley, with a cocktail program that would fit in any major city.
At the top of the price range, Westbank Grill at the Four Seasons delivers upscale steakhouse dining with excellent service. It's expensive, but the quality justifies the cost. For a more casual meal at the same property, Handle Bar serves elevated bar food and craft cocktails.
The newest additions include Tram Dock at the aerial tram base (opened December 2024) and Trapper's at the Sweetwater Gondola mid-stationโboth adding welcome variety to on-mountain dining. For Thai food (oddly well-represented in the area), Teton Thai does reliable takeout that saves many a tired skier from cooking.
Note that many Village restaurants slow down or close during shoulder seasons (April-May, October-November). Always call ahead during these periods.
